Default BELTRONICS rx65 euro

Hello,
My name is Adrian and i am from Romania.
In Romania we have only K band radars,no X, no Ka, very rarely laser.
The main threat is front K instant-on, detectable if i have a "rabbit" in front of me,and MORE DIFFICULT back K instant-on,theoreticaly detectable with a "rabbit"in front,if the forward facing antenna horn is picking up a reflection from the rabbit's car.
I have an detector BEL RX 65 e, M4 antenna, with K pulse on/off in menu, but no RDR on/off in menu. From an previous answer from Beltronics, i know that in this case RDR (radar detector rejection) is alwais enabled.
RDR is only for filtering Ka emissions from leaky detectors ,making two or more sweeps of Ka band before setting an alert. This allow the detector to confirm if the initial alert is real or false.
I have three questions for Beltronics:
1.If i disable Ka band( Ka off),that kills the sweep off Ka band or just the alert to those frequencies?
And if Ka off means no sweep of Ka band,RDR is also off, or the detector is still searching for false alarms in Ka band, wasting time with negative impact on others bands detection?
2.If i put my BELTRONICS in Ka USA mode the detector scans only 33,8 Ka,34,7 Ka and 35,5 Ka
In this case RDR is off like on the old S7 RX65, or the M4 version of USA mode still applies full Ka filtering?
I ask questions 1 and 2 because RDR off is the main way to boost the reactivity of the detector and i want to know the correct mode to do this.
3.In ROMANIA there are no K pulsed guns like ISKRA and other SIMICON guns.
In this case K pulse on improve the response( time reactions, sensibility) to K instant-on or not?
What are the correct settings for ROMANIA K on and K pulse on or K on and K pulse off?
With hope of an quick and complete answer,
Best regards
Adrian Petrescu

Good questions.

1. Disabling any band disables the detector sweeping that band.
2. M4 based RX65s will still filter Ka when using Ka USA mode
3. I'm sorry but I am not familiar with the radar equipment used in Romania. K pulse looks for a specific pulse. Try it with K pulse on and off and see which performs better in your area.

Thank you for this quick answer
One more clarification

Your answer to my first question means that if i put Ka off, no sweep of Ka band and no RDR active-the detector will ignore all signals in Ka band ( reals or falses ) is this correct or not?
The only way to disable RDR for my Bel rx65 euro M4 antenna is to disable Ka band?
I ask this because now police use only K band and with actuals settings(X off, Ka off, K on, laser on)my detector must catch instant-on shots, but in the future if they decide to use Ka band(instant-on, low powered radars) we must think to ESCORT REDLINE with band segmentation and RDR off
With hope of an quick answer
Best regards
Adrian Petrescu

Sorry to ressurect this thread, but in Romania we have:
Bee III in K-band
LTI 20-20 laser
The question is: how bad is an RX65 US version compared to RX65 EU in K-band detection? Both with M4 antenna... If I deactivate Ka band on US version would be better?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Cristi

With K pulse disabled, K band detection performance is the same between them. Disabling Ka band will increase K band detection performance.

Thank you for your quick response.
So the RX65 for USA has also K-pulse?
And from my understanding, POP should be set to off?

No, only the EU version has K pulse. That will increase K band sensitivity but can also cause more K band false alerts.

POP should be left off. It is Ka-POP.

Thank you very much for your advices.
I've ordered now an USA version RX65 due to the fact that I paid 160 USD (including shipping to Romania) instead of 420 USD for an European version sold locally...

160$? Brand new, used, or refurbish unit?
