Default It's way past time for BD - RDR on STI

Just had my Driver upgraded to Magnum, had early model with the better LNAs like the ones in Redline. It is better on Ka & X bands than my Redline now, and a virtual tie on K. Unfortunately I also have a V1 and with the release of v1 connect they have taken the lead with the ability for BS (band segmentation) and Ka guard off (RDR for bel) to be the new champ in detection. I've not seen this yet on this forum so I thought I would get it going!!!! It's all over the Escort forums, BELTRONICS it's time to step up and get this on the STI Magnums like you did with the STiR. If you got this out or heck just put USA mode back on them like in the older units, that did exactly this, you would have the best windshield mounted detector made. This was promised it was coming to the Redline over a year ago. I demand you get this out now, who's with me? Let our voices be heard!!!!!

It's not like it's been a year....

...oh wait...I think yesterday was the year anniversary of the announcement.

It appears to be in the prototype stages (or possibly QA-testing depending on the SDLC-methodology being used in Cincinnati).

I still haven't heard if the update will apply to the STi's or not. I surely hope there's a Driver/Magnum version of the update...I tried the Redline, it's lack of lack of ramp-up signaling didn't jive with me so much.

I saw where Larry (ER) posted a picture of a test unit, and said it was coming soon on the Redline. Hopefully Beltronicspro will give some info about when its coming to the Magnum, or at least say if they are testing it or not now.

ER posted that it's currently only talked about for the Redline. If the performance turns out to be as estimated, I'll likely jump back into another Redline. Just not sure if I can handle the Redline's defibrillator-like ramp-up.

As far as ramp-up being fixed by an update, the first STi Drivers originally had the lousy ramp-up, but a later firmware update fixed it to make it usable.

From what I know, the RL is the ONLY WS mount unit going to get it at this time. ONce it gets completed, it should be a monster on IO/ QT shots. It shold turn the RL speed to that of the S7 units.

For out away from town, I love my RX65/S7 (GPS-M4 in the city)...but with all the feedback of how the Redline is rocking the place with BS/RDR...I broke down and ordered one. And we'll see about the ramp-up behaving better with the new settings.

Yeah...if the STI had BS/RDR, I'd totally go that route, but for the straight-up performance, can't go turning down and estimated -8db and Bruce Lee reflexes!

Now for the motorcycle issue...
I've been running V995/RX65 on my motorcycle for years. It's mounted in a particular spot to not cut off any sight-lines to the gauges, etc. But the Redline is longer by a 1/4"...that'll cover things a smidge more (not nearly as much as the GX65/PRO500/9500ix's extra .65")....ah...the joys of motorcycling!

Unfortunately the STi Driver and Magnum will most probably never receive these features. Thank you for your feedback.

These features are currently available on the RedLine only by request. Please see the announcement on the Escort Radar forum for more information. Also note that you will have to call us to place a RedLine order and specifically request this software (1-800-964-3138). Eventually all new RedLines will come with this software.

Due to hardware limitations, the STi Driver and Magnum will not receive these settings.
