Leonardo da Vinci-Inspired Cauldrons
With two host cities this year, the Games feature two striking Olympic cauldrons. Constructed from lightweight aeronautical aluminum, these intricate designs weigh in at an impressive 13.5 tons and draw inspiration from the knot patterns of the legendary Italian artist and inventor, Leonardo da Vinci.
A New Viral Dessert in the Olympic Village
During the 2024 Paris Olympics, chocolate muffins served in the Olympic Village became a viral sensation thanks to French company Coup de Pates. This time around in Milan, athletes like Courtney Sarault and Natalie Spooner have been raving about the chocolate lava cake on the menu, which is sure to inspire a flurry of homemade recipes soon.

In celebration of Milano Cortina 2026, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has introduced a novelty pasta shaped like the five Olympic rings, produced right in Italy. While it won’t be available for purchase, a select number of boxes will be distributed through digital promotions by the IOC.
