Coco Gauff Reflects on a Year of Unpredictable Tennis: 'My 2025 Season is Officially Over'
Coco Gauff has officially brought her 2025 season to a close, marking a year of both triumphs and challenges. Despite a dramatic Roland Garros victory, Gauff's season was marred by inconsistent performance, particularly with her serve and forehand.
The American tennis star faced a series of setbacks, including a disappointing exit at Wimbledon and a challenging US Open, where she struggled against Naomi Osaka. These issues led Gauff to make a significant change by hiring a biomechanics coach, a move that reflects her commitment to improvement.
In a recent Instagram post, Gauff shared her thoughts on the season, expressing pride in her accomplishments despite the setbacks. She highlighted the long duration of her season, starting in December 2024 and ending in November 2025, and emphasized the emotional rollercoaster she experienced.
Gauff's statement read, "My 2025 season is officially over and it was a longggg one. I played my first match of this season on December 29th, 2024, and my last match of the season on November 6th, 2025. It was filled with some disappointments but mainly positives. When I look back, I feel proud of all the things I accomplished."
She continued, "Very few feelings come close to the euphoria you feel when you are living in a dream come true or a prayer come to fruition, and I am eternally grateful to God for these experiences and the opportunity to feel this feeling constantly."
Looking ahead, Gauff is determined to build on her success. She aims to enter 2026 with newfound consistency and an enhanced skill set, positioning herself as a strong contender in every tournament. Her journey continues, and fans eagerly anticipate her future achievements.
