During a conversation with the Splash Pages Comic Book Club, Thompson revealed that discussions about Aquaman's inclusion are ongoing, and the Trident, a key element, has been a part of the narrative.
"I certainly wouldn't be able to say, but [he] certainly has been a part of the conversation. People are talking about it, and they wouldn’t have let me put the Trident in there if they weren’t open to that question. I can’t say it’s coming, but I think it’s a part of the conversation, one hundred percent."
Thompson's statement leaves room for speculation. While it could mean she lacks definitive information, it also suggests that Absolute Aquaman is a serious consideration. Fans eagerly await news, knowing that a complete Justice League lineup in the Absolute Universe is essential.
The Absolute Universe anthology is accessible through local comic shops and DC Universe Infinite subscriptions.
