Power Outage Affects Over 1,000 Homes in Bishop Auckland
An unexpected power outage has left more than 1,100 homes in Bishop Auckland without electricity since early this morning (January 7). The affected areas include Toft Hill, Low & High Etherley, Witton Park, Woodside, and several other neighborhoods. The outage occurred shortly after 7 am, causing disruption and inconvenience for residents.
Northern Powergrid is working to restore power as quickly as possible. According to their website, they are 'switching electricity through alternative routes' to get the power back on. The utility company estimates that power should be restored between 10:30 am and 11:30 am.
