Roboquest VR, the highly anticipated roguelite action shooter, is set to release on Steam and PlayStation VR2 later this month, with the Quest version following in early 2026. Developed by RyseUp Studios, Roboquest VR was originally launched as a flatscreen PC game two years ago, and fans have eagerly awaited its VR adaptation ever since our March preview. Playing as a Guardian, this FPS roguelite with a comic book-inspired art style immerses players in bullet hell battles across randomly generated environments, taking down mechanical foes. The upcoming VR release has been fully rebuilt with new features, including manual reloading and interactive weapon handling, and will support co-op gameplay in a future update. PlayStation Blog highlights additional PS VR2-specific features such as adaptive trigger support, controller haptics, headset rumble, and eye-tracked foveated rendering. This VR adaptation is one of five major announcements from Flat2VR Studios, which has been hosting a PlayStation VR2-focused livestream. Other games to be released on Sony's headset include VRacer Hoverbike, Audio Trip, and Shadowgate VR, with updates on Out of Sight VR and RAGER also expected. Roboquest VR promises an immersive and engaging experience, showcasing the potential of VR gaming with its compelling FPS roguelike mechanics.
