Darnold's flawless performance didn't go unnoticed. He completed his first 17 passes and finished the game with 21 of 24 successful attempts, totaling 330 yards. However, he did throw an interception, his fifth of the season.
Head coach Mike Macdonald praised Darnold's consistency, stating, 'Believe me when I say it: I’m not surprised.' He added, 'We watch Sam every day, and he's the same guy, which is what makes him so great. The team is determined, and it's a joy to watch him play.'
